Security officer Kipper Breckenridge -- who saved lives responding to a stabbing incident in Mississippi -- needs your help with medical expenses.Just more than a year ago, Kipper Breckenridge, a security officer at the McComb Social Security Building in McComb, Mississippi, saved the lives of two women and possibly more when he shot and killed a man armed with a knife.

The man, who was inside the building, began stabbing his mother and grandmother. With a single shot, Breckenridge stopped the attack.

Although Breckenridge neutralized the threat, the negative ripple-effect it created in his life continues.

Kipper wrote on his Facebook page:

"About 3-4 weeks later I started having severe headaches and neck pain. Pain so bad I was starting to double over. I was also waking up 15-20 times a night. I thought I had a brain tumor or something because my head was hurting so bad. I went to statcare and the doctor asked me what was going on I explained to him how I felt and what I recently went through. He diagnosed me with anxiety and depression from stress and referred me to a therapist. The therapist diagnosed me with PTSD. I had no idea the symptoms of PTSD could manifest itself in physical pain."

He also explains that he feels abandoned by his former employer, the new company that took over the account at the building and his union:

"So I now have an immense amount of pressure on me to return to work and financial stress of losing about $1,000 a month in income from losing the health and welfare pay and them taking my 2 1/2 hours of overtime from me each week. It's been 8 months now and they have held over $5,000 of my health and welfare money but only deposited about $1400 in a 401 account. I currently have a $3500 emergency room bill that I need to pay for my daughter, but don't have access to the funds. I have contacted the company and received no response. We were also never offered a health savings account like we originally were."

Kipper told me recently he's now thousands of dollars in debt: "I lost about $2000 in pay when they put me on workers comp for 6 weeks, I've lost $1000 a month for the last 8 months, and next week I'm going back to the doctor for another medicine change due to still having stress/anxiety pain ... When they do that medicine change they are going to take me off work and put me on workers comp for another month to adjust to medicine changes. So, I'll be losing more money then."

Please give what you can, as soon as you can, to help this hero, a man who did his job to the best of his ability, protected human lives and now finds himself in the grips of a physical, psychological and financial crisis.
