The International Foundation for Protection Officers, IFPO (International Foundation of Protection Officers), was established by Ronald R. Minion, as a non-profit organization, in January 1988, with the purpose of facilitating the training and certification required for Security Officers and Security Supervisors of the commercial and private sectors.
To achieve this goal the foundation established a professional association, the members of this corporation are individually endorsed as members of the security industry.
IFPO comprises two types of certifications:
1. CPO - Certification for Protection Officers.
2. CSSM - Certificate in Supervision and Security Management.
