Uncertainty. Aside from fear, anxiety and frustration, looming over the coronavirus pandemic is a feeling of uncertainty. Businesses -- forced to shut down, are uncertain when they will reopen and what the demand for them will be once virus sanctions have been lifted -- have had to lay off numerous employees. Those include security professionals, who are now uncertain about their future.
As first responders, security professionals provide an important role in society. It is the IFPO's hope in these trying times that they sustain their resolve so that when this is over, they can get back to doing what they enjoy and what we need them to do -- protecting life and property. -- IFPO.
With businesses shutting down and cities literally closing nationwide, many employees including private security officers are out of work, leaving some without a paycheck.
The International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO) is dedicated to providing meaningful and cost effective security training for security guards and protection officers.
We believe that education is a necessary and essential part of professional security training and the security officer’s background. IFPO serves individuals, security companies, and organizations that have their own private security staff. Our students and members benefit from the recognition and standing that the prestigious IFPO certification conveys.
