International Foundation for Protection Officers Recertification Program

The International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO) Recertification Program is designed to sustain the highest standards of ethical and professional practices among protection officers, security supervisors and instructors. This voluntary certification process is based on standards that measure competency in the practice of security officers. We encourage all IFPO-certified individuals to seek recertification every two years.

The IFPO offers three convenient options for recertification:

Option 1

Description

This option is for individuals who are re-certifying within the two year time frame and have met the necessary professional requirements on their own.

Your completed workbook and payment are required for recertification.

    3. Mail your workbook and payment information to IFPO at 1076 6th Ave N., Naples, FL 34102.

Please allow up to 5 business days to process recertifications.

Once your recertifications has been processed, you will receive an email link to your credential.

You will be able to view, share, download and make minor edits to your name on your certificate.

Option 2

Description

This is for individuals recertifying within two years but not meeting professional requirements.

Choose from three training series below. International paper exams available upon request.

Series 1: 21st Century Skills
You must complete four 21st Century Skills courses.
You can find and add them to your cart HERE.

Series 2: Completion of an IFPO Training Partners Program
Proof of completion of any courses from our training partners can be used to complete recertification requirements. Please contact them directly for additional information.

Series 3: Retake the CPO Final Challenge Examination (180 Questions)
This option is available one time only, for the purpose of recertification.

Option 3

Description

This option is for individuals whose certification has expired. Your completed workbook and payment are required for recertification.

    1. Are you recertifying within 90 days of your due date? $60 Total Cost per Recertification.

    2. Are you recertifying over 90 days to 2 years of your due date? $80 Total Cost per Recertification.

    3. Overdue past 2 years? Contact IFPO office to determine and calculate the recertification fees necessary.
